Have you ever wondered what it is like to run and stay in your own traditonal English pub? Well now is your chance . This is a unique opportunity to do just that!
The Fitzhead Inn is 17th Century traditional Olde Worlde pub in the picturesque village of Fitzhead in rural Somerset between Taunton and Wellington. Guests will have the exclusive use of the whole of the pub and accommodation The pub is not open to the public and is totally for you and your guests pleasure and enjoyment. The Pub is fully operational with beer pumps, spirit measures, glasses, glass washer, refrigeration and everything else you need. Stand behind the bar and pull your relatives or friends a pint of beer! The first barrels (35 pints) of real ale and scrumpy farmhouse cider are included in your rental fee Thereafter beer and cider are charged at £80 a barrel. Larger can also be supplied on request. No wine, spirits or soft drinks are included. These can be arranged for you or you can bring your own.

The Fitzhead Experience
The Fitzhead also has a fully equipped professional kitchen with all the necessary accessories. Try on our chefs whites and experience the excitement of cooking in a professional kitchen! All cooking essentials are available, eg spices, oils, sauces etc are included in your rental. Professional Catering can be arranged for that special evening/occasion. Picnic hampers can also be supplied .
Meat, Fish, Vegetables, Bread and other food needs to be purchased. We can do this for you or you can visit the large supermarkets in Taunton. We have an arrangement with a local farm to supply superb quality meat, sausages, free range eggs, cheese. The locally reared beef steak and venision are amazing!!! A welcome pack of your first nights simple meal and the following mornings breakfast is included in your rental so you don't need to dash off when you first arrive. Typically this consists of minced beef, potatoes, pasta and vegetables plus eggs bacon and toast for breakfast. Full training will be given on your arrival about the use of the kitchen and bar equipment. Anyone wanting to cook in the professional kitchen must undergo an induction ( typically 20-30 mins). The Pub is fully equipped with a range of Pub games from Darts to Cribbage to Bar Skittles to Dominos to Backgammon .
